Thanks for noticing me ...

Eeyore has always been sort of a mentor for me, but lately I'm feeling more and more like him. I've been depressed and gloomy and pessimistic these days ... in part, I'm sure, to post-holiday blues (our Christmas decorations are still up - I didn't have the heart to take them down yet), in part due to stress at work both from my job and from the fear that's always lingering over my head of being laid off. I'm in a constant state of stress and worry and I want it to stop, please.

Oh - and it's snowing again.

I think we all have a dip after this long holiday period.

My decorations are still up too, tomorrow is the 12th day of Christmas and they only come down on the January 7.

Notice you? Hell, I'd do more than that! Instructions for today:
(1) get the decorations down....now and pronto! (2) Get back to eating right (3) a little exercise. I'm on my way to the gym this AM.
Oh yeah, we landed in the snow last night....couldn't believe it!

You are not alone in this, so take some comfort in that anyway. Hang in there, try to keep your chin up.

The snow doesn't bother me much since I can walk to work and the grocery store, but the cold is killing me by inches.

Hope you're doing better, Matt.

Well, I guess I'd say to apply some Buddhist philosophy and try not to stew about the things you can't control. And find the small joys blah blah blah.

Ok?

I'm sending good thoughts from SF up to my old home of Seattle for two reasons: no more snow and you get to keep your job. Happy new year!
