Actually, the "it sure is purty" comment at the end of the video was deliberately "twangy" - I don't have THAT much of a drawl. But I was surprised that I had any accent at all - and by how much my voice sounded like my brother's!
It does look purrrty too. I'm at work so can't access the clip or hear your voice... I shall do it first thing when I get home! By the way - thanks for your comment on my blog.. the pics are in the post...
I always seem to assume what someone's voice is going to sound like, and when the real voice is heard, I'm usually off-base. But the midwestern drawl is unmistakeable. Please send the snow this way. As Jo said, we got ice then a heat wave to melt it away.
Hey Matt -- wow! You guys got more snow in your neck of the Seattle woods than we did in Queen Anne! No fair! Still - It was nice to feel cozy here and my cat was entranced by the flakes. It was pretty cute.
Twangy! There is definite twang there. Enjoy your snow. We have torrential rain, the usual rivers bursting banks and flooding, slate coloured skies and gloom. However, a bit of 'twang' seems to have produced some localised warmth.

Well, cousin dear, you got more snow than Chicago did! We got ice! Enjoy the view while you have it. And it's nice to hear your voice!
Matter, how fun to hear your voice, and isn't it so comforting. And yes on the drawl :)

Matt! I love your voice, it sounds like a radio host on some Sunday morning show, so cool to hear you.
Blah snow! It has been snowing on and off for two frig'n weeks here! Too early yet and too early with the cold weather.
A very upset and grumpy,
Steven.
Ahhh snow, ahhh, no, don't miss that stuff. Looks purty though!
It was great to hear your voice. It really was.
Enjoy the weather. It could be worse.
Sounds like a dialect of south Seattle or an outer region maybe? Purdy? Purrtty? Man, you guys got a ton more than we did...
It snowed here today (Sunday), too. But you guys got a lot more than we did! I vote for more twangy-narrated posts. Fun.

Matt, I agree. You sound very much like your brother. ;-)
Fresh fallen snow sure is "purty".
Twangy! There is definite twang there.
