September 12 of 12

Jump over to Chad's site to see what the cool people of the world do on the 12th of every month.

These pictures were all taken Saturday, September 12, 2009 in Seattle, Washington.

We're switching cell phone carriers so had to get new phones. I'm illiterate when it comes to cell phones, so mine is the basic model shown here. Scott got a Crackberry. I'm already looking into 12-step programs for him.

Saturday is chore day. Starting with emptying the dishwasher.

It definitely feels like summer is ending, even though it was 85 degrees today. The light just looks different. Nice that there are still flowers blooming outside the kitchen window, though.

The backyard and pond from the upstairs deck. I'd meant to take a picture of this view every month, but I don't think I have. I'll do that going forward - it's cool to see how much this view changes every month.

The handsome and friendly Hunter, lounging in his favorite spot by the stairwell window.

Oh, yeah - chores. Kitchen cleaned. Watch your step - the floor is still wet.

Quick run to the grocery store - umm, why are some of the trees turning yellow and orange???

Scott recently bought this lamp that's in the dining room. Purty.

Scott, home from work and taking close-up pictures of dandelions for his 12 of 12. Yes, the lawn needs to be cut. Tomorrow.

A gardenia from one of our gardenia shrubs in the back yard. Yes, they will bloom in Seattle if you're good to them. This is one of my favorite flowers and frangrances in the world.

Dinner. Take-out from Teriyaki Seven.

Pretty sunset. They're coming earlier every day.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hey there Matt, oh be prepared for the Crackberry rehab program. I'm fighting a losing battle with push e-mail on my iPhone at the moment.

You just gotta take it one e-mail at a time :)

Love, love, love gardenias. My favorite flowers ever. Great shots this month. I think the dandelion shot of Scott is too funny. Oh, and you can love the Freddy's shot. I love that place....best really flat hamburgers with cheese, pickles, onions and mustard and awesome fries.

Be prepared to lose the Crackberry battle. The guy from my office who was with me in Turkey this summer had one and was one it the ENTIRE TIME.

Me: "Dude, we're in Topkapi Palace. Who cares who's e-mailing you?"
Him: "I just need to check something ... "

Good luck with that! And keep Scott out of the crab juice, eh?

I am in love with your lamp!!! If you ever decide you don't want it and feel like posting it to the other side of the world... I'll happily take it off your hands!

And am I seeing things or is that your cats tail dangling down to the 2nd tier? It's sooooo long and beautiful! My dog would have a great time chasing that tail!

Nice 12 Matt. I thought for sure when I saw Scotts 12 the common photo would be the crystal ball in the fridge, but you didn't even mention it. ...ooops, hope I didn't spoil the surprise. The gardinia was nice. I wish I could smell it though. Next time take the food out of the bags. For all we know they could have had Hunter's used kitty litter in them ...lol.

Is Hunter's tail 12 feet long, or is that a toy in the lower shelf?

That's really Hunter's tail - it's not THAT long, but it is a good long fluffy tail. Isn't he adorable? :)

Ah another Crackberry person - which model does he have? I would like a newer model, as everyone else at work seems to have one bar me!

The gardenia looks beautiful, as does the lamp. Really pretty!

Sorry I’m late in replying! I only got my own 12 of 12 up on Thursday!
