A Week's Worth of Dinners - Sunday

Y'all know I like to follow my loooong, heavy-handed posts with some fluff. So this week I'm going to post pictures of food. Dinner, to be exact.

Today, I'm posting Sunday's dinner - lasagna.
Chopping the onion.

Caramelizing the onion in butter.

Adding mild Italian sausage.

And ground beef.

Diced tomatoes ...

... and tomato sauce.

Layering it all together ...

... including the ricotta/egg/parmesan/basil mix ...

... and mozarella.

Preheat:

Oh yeah - I'm B12-deficient. I have to remember to take this ... makes me feel better.

Out of the oven.

It looked better in the pan. But it tasted pretty damn good.

Stay tuned for Monday ... roasted chicken with lemon, garlic and celery!

A familiar phrase that I am used to saying as well: "It looked better in the pan." Any left overs? :-)

I must painfully admit, Lasagne is one of my very favorites...right up there with tacos and pizza...and some other pastas. It looks delicious, minus the meat. And you thougth I was a meat eater!

Hehehe! I made lasagne on Sunday, too! It must be a cousin thing! Sympatico! And I'm glad you use Italian sausage, because that really makes a difference in the taste!
