Scott is taking a few days off ... he came home from the store yesterday afternoon with these roses for me. I needed this. Everyone should have a Scott Equivalent - I highly recommend one.
The roses have a really cool marbling to them:
He also brought a few bunches of daffodils, which started opening pretty soon once they were inside. We're kinda like crack whores when it comes to anything blooming in the spring - we'd shove dandelions in a vase if we had to:
I started cooking the three dozen eggs that Scott brought:
Meanwhile, Scott went out in the yard to play, and to cut the grass with the push mower. He told me he's scared of the electric mower.
Scott bought a plethora of egg-coloring kits ... it was a little overwhelming:
Decorating eggs is harder work than we thought:
The finished products drying:
Have a great Easter, y'all.

All-in-all, it was an egg-citing day!
I'm glad I have my Scott Equivalent in my dear, sweet cousin! ((((hugs)))) I'm still smiling every time I look at my beautiful roses. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
What a lovely slice-of-life Easter post. I had the pleasure of coloring eggs with my two and a half year-old niece this year. Happy Easter!
I agree...everyone needs a Scott. Especially when they tote in flowers and like to play with colors.
Thanks for stopping by. I'll take you up on the Eeyore sometime.
where can i find a scott of my own? do you loan him out?
What an interesting assortment of colored eggs: nice tie-dye effect. We're still "somewhat" under snow with another storm coming through tomorrow. We may not see my daffodils. :-) Looks like you guys had a great weekend! Steven
I have a coupon for a "Scott equivalent." But is it as good as a Scott? Hmmm.
Those eggs are intense, so jewel-like! My bf once hid my easter basket at the end of a piece of yarn that criss-crossed the whole apartment like a giant spider web. The start end was tied around a coffee cup on a surprise breakfast tray. Yeah, I know.
So what did you do with all those eggs?
gosh how sweet..I don't get roses anymore :-(
