Dinner at El Gallito. We almost never go out, so this was cool. Pretty good food ... kinda crappy service (slow, and I ordered a second Cadillac margarita when my dinner came, but the drink never showed up). Still, I didn't have to cook, Scott didn't have to do dishes, and we came home happy and full of carne asada.

(Okay, the sunflowers were at home).

I have eaten there and liked it. I'm pretty picky about Mexican food. It's the Californian in me. :-) I had speedy service. Hmm, must just depend on who is there.

Interesting colors that make for a nice ambience in the restaurant. Sorry that your service wasn't up to par. Beautiful sunflower arrangement!

Well, you know they did kind of a facelift at El Gallito a while back, but I sorta liked the old divier version...for more interesting Mexican food and excellent margaritas, try Galerias on Broadway...some cute servers there, too...of course, there's the old standby, Jalisco, at 15th & Republican...

Define "Cadillac Margarita." Chris is intrigued. If you could see me, you could see that I was stroking my chin...

Chris - a Caddilac 'rita typically has tequila, fresh lime juice, and Grand Marnier, served on the rocks with a salted rim. Mmmmm.

(BTW - I can't access your blog lately - are you having issues or is something wrong on my end?)
