A Very Matter and Scooter Christmas

"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" ... yeah, right. We're living in a snow-covered nightmare. Sure is purty though:

I'm liking this red-ornament tree Scott's mom gave us:

Have I ever mentioned that I love the movie "A Christmas Story"? We have Leg Lamp lights in the kitchen ...

And a Leg Lamp nightlight in the bathroom.

And we've been collecting the "It's A Wonderful Life" village ... yeah, I'm a sap.

Kali is in the Christmas spirit ...

Awwww ... an ornament that one of Scott's co-workers gave him:

Every year I give Scott a Lenox ornament - here's this year's addition:

Your faithful blogger outside the front door:

Getting dinner started - just the two of us, but we made a full turkey dinner:

Sauteeing bacon, onions, apple, sage and thyme for the stuffing:

Scott was worried that Mr. Gobble was cold. I told him he'd warm up very, very soon:

See?

Getting the gravy ready:

Scott's mom also gave us this little train-thing that protects the bottom of the tree from dogs - pretty cool! And kinda cute:

You can't end a Christmas evening without singing "Fa-ra-ra-ra-ra, ra-ra-ra-ra":

And I can't end a Christmas post without my Christmas Video:

Happy Holiday-Or-Non-Holiday of your choice. I'm glad you're all here.

I love the pics. It is beautiful, so enjoy it before it turns to mush! LOL! I love the front door & the wreath, the dinner looks delicious, and it's wonderful to hear your voice!

It IS pretty but right about now? It's dirty, slushy, ugly. Oh well. I'm ready to be able to drive my car again!

Hope it was a good holiday.

White Christmas will never be "just a song" any more, will it? Holy smokes.

Did anyone in your house get a "Christmas shovel" from Santa? Looks like you're gonna need it!

Thanks for sharing the pics!

Wow. I kinda wish we'd had a flurry or two ourselves. (It'd make me feel better about getting sick - less fun having a cold when it's 80!)

But, it do look really purdy there :P

We'd heard about some of the realities of the storms out there from our friends who live overlooking Lake Union. Your pictures make it very real--Seattle looks exactly like New Hampshire!

I hope you guys have a healthy, happy, really wonderful 2009!

I love the wreath on your front door. I looked for a few weeks before Christmas trying to find the perfect one for our front door and never found it. Now I know where to find one. :-)

Long time lurker, first time poster here....I'm jewelz916 of
www.worldaccordingtojewelz.blogspot.com fame. I'm sure you've heard of me...hahahahaha.
ANYDOODLE....just had to comment on the Christmas Story movie. In my mind, it is second only to NL's Christmas Vacation. LOVE the "Sons-a-Bitches Bumpeses!!!!" and the leg lamp. AND, although I'm straight but not narrow and happily married...I have my very gay boyfriend that I hang out with a lot. He actually DID get Chinese food on Xmas...and called me to say "Fa ra ra ra ra...ra ra ra ra!"
