Crocus, apart from being the premier harbinger of spring, are lovely little creatures in their own right. Their color is the first and difinitive rebuke to winter.

Absolultely. I've got daffodils trying to come of age in our yard. And I spotted several trees in your fair city of Seattle...up along Capitol Hill...with their PINK ON! It's one of my favorite times of year.

I just hate you right now! We still have snow on the ground and more coming. At least it's nice to see that spring is on its way. It has been a long winter.

I don't mean to gloat ...but that is why I love me some Maui.....our flowers are here year round. Plus here we don't want winter (If you can call 81* in Jan. and Feb. winter at all) to go, because it takes the whales away with it. God I am gonna have a hard time readjusting to the PNW when we come back.

I'm terribly jealous. Here we sit under about 3 feet of snow. I'd give anything to see our tulips sprouting outside the window right now.
