Matterpics

A rainy Saturday/Matterday in Seattle. But it's been a relatively warm winter in Seattle (no snow!) so it seems more like March than January ...

Forsythia cuttings are blooming inside:

Japanese quince is budding up in the back yard:

Red twig dogwood and Mexican orange:

Some quince cuttings I brought into the kitchen:

Our red poppy front doormat:

Interesting bumper stickers on our way to run errands:

Southcenter Mall in Tukwila (it's not all this outdated):

Taking my cue from J.D> Salinger's death, I decided to buy this book and re-experience it:

Cloudy downtown Seattle on the way back home:

The first place I lived when I moved to Seattle 15 (!) years ago (the building isn't red - it's the reflection of a notebook on the dashboard):

Great wine label:

Next weekend - the Garden Show. More pics then. And maybe I'll actually write something one of these days.

Such great pics, Matt....I have seen forsythia, daffodils, and some faint pink blossoms just starting on a tree in portland this week.

I love your pictures. And I love forsythia! Beautiful. Thank goodness it's been such a mild winter.

It's so nice to see some signs of spring! We just got another few inches of snow.
