Scott calls it the "Golden Showers" tree. It loses something in that translation.

Flora ... or Fauna, I forget which is which ...
This is our Golden Chain tree (Laburnum x Watereri). It's a beautiful shade tree, and in May it blooms with bright yellow grape-like clusters of flowers, similar to wisteria blossoms. It attracts lots of bees, and the flower clusters sway gracefully in the breeze. I fell in love with this tree the first time I saw it here in Seattle.

Golden Chain or Golden Showers, these have always been one of my favorites.
Just don't stand below it.
Thanks, Matt, we gad a lovely long weekend--much of it spent doing exactly what you and Scott were doing. Then we covered it all up with overturned buckets and decommissioned bed sheets to protect it from the low 30 degree temperatures last night. Ah, New England!
Matt, I was just reading your comment on Brettcajun's blog. I can't help but laugh. He wants so much for people to SEE him and HRAR all about him, By the way I am sitting here pissed off in Hollywood. No marrage this year for us. I been with my love for 23yrs. Later, Mike, studio city ca
By the way, I don't proof my spelling very well. Mike s.c. ca
