It was sunny and 73 degress today! In Seattle!! After the most f***ed-up winter I can remember since moving here 14 years ago (including snow on April 1 - hahahahahaha, that was funny!), the windows are all open, we can smell barbecues cooking, and we have SPRINGTIME MATTERPICS!!

Just Another Day in the 'Hood.

This crap happens every single day in our neighborhood, mostly on our block. A car pulls up and parks, the driver saunters away, and the passengers hang around the car, either drinking or doing drugs in the car, or just hanging out. This is not what innocent people do on a Saturday. The driver is usually dealing drugs on the next corner.

This car was in front of our house for over an hour ... apparently a lot of us called the police about it.

This is really pissing me off, and it's only been getting worse for the past year or so. I'm thinking of getting a gun. So much for my Liberal Democrat status.

April Fool's Day.

• Scott told me this morning that he had to throw away the toothpaste. He thought that adding food coloring to it would be a great prank. He decided this morning that he was wrong.


• Fake dead rat in the refrigerator.


• Fake severed head on the pile of clean folded towels.


• Two motion-activated screaming Halloween things hidden in my car. One didn't go off until I was already driving.


• I forgot the "Microwave Usage Tracking Form" that Scott made with my company's logo to post in the kitchen. Next year ...


• At our department meeting today, some people shared pictures of recent trips to Egypt and Thailand. I shared pictures of going to Auburn, Washington to get Joe Jetta repaired. This was the last picture:
