Belated Christmas Party

We went to a post-holiday party at our friend Boyd's house last night - mostly people that work for the same company as Scott, and they're all finally able to celebrate the End of the Retail Christmas Season. (There's no way that anyone who works in retail can take the time to have a holiday party during the holidays).

Boyd's holiday parties are legendary - not only for the incredible food, but for the decorations. This year, he had 17 trees, plus tons of other decorations. He starts in September. I can't even imagine how much time it takes ...

The Santa Tree by the entryway:

The Snowman Tree:

The Penguin Tree (and notice the penguin cocktail shakers on the mantel):

The Bedroom Trees:

Me and our friend Kevin in the kitchen by the nutcracker display:

New this year - and everyone's favorite - the Hanging Tree:

I think that's enough of the holidays. We're taking our tree and decorations down today. Now the long wait for spring ...

I'm a big fan of "off season" parties....doing things just a little differently than everyone else. The place looks amazing! And, hey, the wait until spring isn't that far away....a mere smattering of days.

Well not really a late party, some people have Christmas on the sixth and some call it little Christmas so its all good! Wow that is nice but a lot of work, I don't even feel like putting up one tree, makes me look lazy!

Im in retail and our Christmas party got cancelled, due to not enough interest. Too much family stuff going, at least for my part.

And hell yeah it's nice the mad Christmas days are done!

great picts!

My pocketbook is SO lucky that I don't celebrate Christmas, because I LOVE these decorations, and would also have a polar bear tree, a sea otter tree, a gingerbread man tree, an Aussiebum model tree...oh, wait, that's not for public display...hee-hee...

There's nothing like 17 trees to say CHIRSTMAS CHRISTMAS CHRISSTMAAASSSSS!!!!!!!!! Sounds like a great party. My fav pic is the one of all the nutcrackers. The big one with the glasses is so lifelike.

Matt, you're pretty brave to stand that close to all those nut crackers.
