And they were going to put her down ...

From the video poster's notes:

"Edie was so scared at the shelter and was scheduled to be euthanized yesterday. She was so lucky to have Bronwyne visit the shelter and save her life. I just helped with calming her down and showing everybody how these dogs can be easily managed with a little bit of love and patience."

"All Edie needed is a hug".

Amen.

Hi.

That's all for tonight.

Hi, y'all.

Sunday, February 14, 2010

Happy Valentine's Day

I had red marbled roses delivered to our house on Saturday (Scott was home, too). Traditional, but pretty.

(That's a bottle of Stag's Leap Petite Syrah that he bought for our Valentine's Day Eve dinner - along with New York strip steaks, fresh prawns and asparagus).

Scott stopped at a florist and designed this arrangement himself - ginger, orchids, gerbera daisies and some others. I think he WAY outdid me.

Sitting on a table in the dining room when he first brought them home ...

... and on the entertainment center in the living room this morning.

He's da bestest.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.

February 12 of 12

You know the drill. Post 12 pictures of your day on the 12th of every month. Courtesy of Chad, our founder.

Here we go, kids.

All pictures were taken on Friday, February 12, 2010 in Seattle, Washington.

7:35 a.m.: Chilly, foggy morning in Seattle. But no snow this winter!!! Yay!!!!

7:38 a.m.: The Devil Towers on Capitol Hill. Bzzz.

7:40 a.m.: If I can make eye contact with you, you are being crushed in the back of the garbage truck.

9:15 a.m.: Spending the day going through our master vendor file. *eyes crossing*

1:19 p.m.: The view from my desk. Yes, there are pink and white cherry trees blooming. On February 12. Global warming HAS come to Seattle.

2:30 p.m.: We're subleasing part of our office space, so we're all moving around in the building. Most of my end of the third floor is already empty.

3:17 p.m.: Did I mention the vendor files were making my eyes cross???

4:02 p.m.: The Honeycrisp apple I brought for breakfast is still untouched.

5:32 p.m.: The Devil Towers again. Bzzz.

7:18 p.m.: The Devil Towers at night. Bzzz.

7:58 p.m.: Dinner. Scott's working late, so it's me and frozen pasta. Pretty good, actually.

8:50 p.m.: Just starting to get through a nasty cold. This is my best friend. Especially when I don't have to wake up for the next few days. Thanks, Presidents!

Thanks for stopping by! Y'all have been the best 12 of 12 audience ever, I mean that!!
